I traveled 2 hours to come get my food. I am not sure if the food was an old batch. But it tasted spoiled and stale. I have never experienced that from them. The chicken had no meat, mostly bones. Portion was smaller than before and the acheke was stale and tasted spoiled. I ended up putting it in the garbage. I won’t be returning again. The food is not cheap where you can take risks like that plus the commute. The lady was friendly though.

I drove around newark for about 30 minutes and been to 3 different african restaurants until I hit the jack pot! The spinach , jollof rice and lamb was 10/10 i’m so impressed !

Couldn’t get pics of the food because I inhaled it 😂 sooo tasty I went late night around 11pm on a Saturday. I ordered the jollof and chicken was $25 to go. When I tell you the consistency flavor and portion of the rice was on point + the sauce and raw onions / peppers to eat with the chicken deliciousssss they give a lot of food. The chicken was fresh and hot. Bomb dot com can’t want to go back

If you want genuine West African food in NJ, Burkindi Restaurant is the place. No frills, no shortcuts — just real, flavorful, authentic dishes. Everything tastes like it’s made with care — the lamb is rich, the rice is perfect, and the sauces bring it all together. You have to try the dibi and chicken w/Arachide sauce. 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 The portions are generous and actually satisfying, and the prices are fair for the quality. The space is simple and low-key, but that’s part of the charm — it’s all about the food. The staff is welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. If you know what good food tastes like, you’ll get it

This was my first time visiting the establishment. Upon arrival, the cashier was engaged in a loud conversation with someone in the kitchen, but I chose to wait patiently for my order. When it came time to pay, she told me the total was $43, and I was prepared to pay that amount. However, I noticed that she had mistakenly entered $0.43 into the system. I tried to bring the error to her attention, but I’m not sure if there was a language barrier. Instead of acknowledging the mistake calmly, she responded in French, telling me not to give her a headache and insisting the total was correct. After a brief argument, she finally realized and corrected the error. Still, rather than apologizing for her unnecessary comment or behavior, she ignored me completely. Many people in my situation might have just paid the incorrect amount and walked away, but I chose to be honest. Unfortunately, I was met with rudeness and poor customer service. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.
